(Remember that you should only hold the mask by the ear loops and wash your hands before and after).<\/p>\n<p>The virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be transmitted when infectious droplets enter through the eyes, nose or mouth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<h3>How many times can you reuse a disposable medical-style mask?<\/h3>\n<p>With this type of mask, what you see is what you get, so you can reuse it until it\u2019s dirty, worn or damaged.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, you don\u2019t want to reuse a mask that\u2019s soiled,\u201d says Dr. Anand Kumar, a professor of medicine at the University of Manitoba.<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s the best way to stow a mask while on the go?<\/h3>\n<p>The federal government\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/public-health\/services\/diseases\/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection\/prevention-risks\/how-put-remove-clean-non-medical-masks-face-coverings.html\">recommends<\/a>\u00a0storing your face mask in a paper bag, envelope, or something that won\u2019t retain moisture if you will be wearing it again.<\/p>\n<p>A plastic bag isn\u2019t recommended because it keeps moisture in, which could allow bacteria to grow on the mask.<\/p>\n<p>The proper way to way to carry a mask with you is in a paper bag.
